Michael Adedokun: Chosen Generation FC Graduate Joins CF Montreal in MLS
Michael Adedokun, a product of Ogun State based Chosen Generation Football Club, has signed a deal with Major League Soccer (MLS) side, CF Montreal until 2026.
The deal with the Eastern Conference side comes with an option of extension until 2028.
The versatile midfielder, who grew through the ranks at Chosen Generation Football Club, was recruited in 2020 but delayed his travel to the United States until 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic. He eventually travelled to study at the University of Dayton and joined the university team in January 2021.
He later moved on to Ohio State University in 2023 before his graduation.
The 22-year-old was then selected by CF Montreal in the first round of the 2025 MLS Superdraft as the 13th overall best college footballer.

He also recently won the 2024 MAC Hermann Trophy award which goes to the Player of the Year in the NCAA Division One Soccer.
In the previous season, the midfielder led Ohio State University with 11 goals and 11 assists to help his team win the 2024 Big Ten Tournament.
HIS TIME AT CHOSEN GENERATION FC
Adedokun joined Chosen Generation Football Club, Wasinmi, Ewekoro Local Government area, Ogun State in January 2015, he transitioned from the Under-13 to the U17, and then to the main team.
Under the guidance of Coach Victor Agbagu, Adedokun grew to become one of the biggest and best talents at Chosen Generation Football Club, he featured for them at the Wasinmi Summer Soccer Championship between 2017 and 2020, winning the best U20 player in the 2019 edition.
He also featured for them in the AUS Scouting Programme in 2020, Ewekoro League in 2018 and 2019, Rufus Adedoyin Championship in 2019, Kesington Adebukunola Adebutu Foundation (KAAF) age grade tournament in 2019, Ogun State Football League in 2019, among others.
The owner of Chosen Generation Football Club, Coach Victor Agbagu has expressed confidence that Adedokun will take America by storm, and will eventually make a move to a bigger team in Europe soon.
