
Ilaji ex-player Boluwatife Ogungbayi signs new contract with Czech club
Boluwatife Ogungbayi has signed a new contract extension deal that will keep him with Czech Republic club Slavia Praha until 2028.
Ogungbayi made his debut for Slavia Praha creating an assist for their second goal in a win over Zorya during Europa League qualifications.
He has since been an active member of team B before getting promoted to the first team.
He last played in Nigeria with his boyhood club, Ilaji FC in Ibadan, before being scouted by the top international scouting agency, Sports Supreme International Football Agency, for a trial at Slavia Prague, and later registered into the youth team of the club.
In a statement made on the club’s social media platform, “Boluwatife Ogungbayi extended his contract with Slavia. The Nigerian, currently the best scorer of the stitched B, has signed a new contract in Eden until 30th June 2028.”

He caught the attention of the club after his beautiful display in the Team B side, coupled with being one of the club’s top scorers, which led to his new contract extension.
